Triangle Red Cross.
After our apartment burned to the ground about 12 years ago, the Red Cross helped everyone with hotel accommodations and clothing gift certificates. Every fire or devastation you see on the local news means that volunteers from the local chapters are there helping others. My husband has volunteered with them for years and they are such a wonderful group of people. They rotate being on call and going out at all hours of the night to help others who have tragically lost their home and belongings. The victims pay nothing back and the organization is greatly appreciative of any type of donation. www.trianglearc.org
